About Green leather desk with armchair and waste paper basket by Jacques Adnet
Elegant desk, with metal structure sheathed of green saddle stitching leather, pivoting drawers, with his armchair and waste paper basket. The steel bronze structure of this 4-leg chair is made of "faux bamboo". It perfectly matches the green saddle-stitched leather that covers the rest of this office chair. The wastepaper basket with 2 bamboo handles is completely covered with green leather.
Jacques Adnet was born in 1900 in France. He graduated from the École des Arts Décoratifs and became director of the « Compagnie des Arts français » in 1928. During the 30s, Adnet started to work with glass and metal. He designed a lot of pieces of furniture and accessories: side tables, coat racks, chairs, desks, …
Adnet is also particularly well-known for his metal creations covered with leather. His designs are extremely modern and are known for their comfort and elegance.
