About "Le défricheur de forêts vierges" box by Line Vautrin
Gilded bronze box whose cover with significant carvings and pronounced relief represents a clearer of virgin forests. It has a spade and sits in the center of the cover under a tree being cleared.
Two trees on the left and two on the right will remain to be cleared. The lower part of the cover represents some wild animals. A tiger, A tapir, A crocodile, an elephant and a lion.
Manufactured around 1950, the box is in good original condition with its use patina. The interior is lined with cork.
The back of the case bears the signature "LINE VAUTRIN" by stamping.
