About "Soleil à pointes by Line Vautrin"
Mirror in black talosel surrounded by 64 rays of two different sizes.
The rim of the mirror is entirely striated obliquely. Two rows of mirror squares receive the rays forming the sun.Large central convex mirror. All of the inlaid mirrors are of a carmine red color, giving incomparable depth and relief to the whole. The marriage of black Talosel and this red color is particularly aesthetic. This is a very large mirror model, with a strong and spectacular presence.
Manufactured by the Line Vautrin workshops around 1955, the mirror is in very good condition.
It is signed by scarification on the back "LINE VAUTRIN - - XII -".
Talosel is a material invented by Line Vautrin towards the end of the 1950s, made up of layers of resin superimposed, scraped and worked in the fire, scarified and encrusted (or not) with mirrors.
