About this pair of black leather armchairs by Jacques Adnet

Pair of "chauffeuse" armchairs, the steel structure covered with black saddle stitched leather. The padded seat, back and armrests covered in black leather.
The backrest and the seat slightly inclined, the 4 legs connected by a cross-shaped spacer also covered with saddle leather.
The feet are fitted with solid brass shoes. Brass that is also found for the accessories garnishing the backrest fixing structure.

Jacques Adnet was born in 1900 in France.
A graduate of the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, he took over the management of the "Compagnie des Arts Français" in 1928 and succeeded in modernizing the house.
He imagines many pieces of furniture and accessories: coat racks, chairs, desks, etc.
Adnet is also particularly known for his leather-covered metal creations adorned with saddle stitch seams.
His designs remain incredibly modern and remain current. They are synonymous with comfort and elegance.
