Riquadri vase Clear and opaque orange – Barovier e Toso

This large “Riquadri” vase by Barovier e Toso was designed and manufactured in 1999. It draws its inspiration from a historical model of the “A Tessere” technique of the reference 21518 designed in the 1950s (see original image of period catalogue). In 1999, Barovier produced in very limited edition two bowls borrowing the same technique but using a different colour scheme. The vase we are presenting is a prototype manufactured in a single copy. A few bowls were edited, but the vase never. This object is therefore unique and we were lucky to be able to acquire the other prototype in azur and yellow. Particularly interesting in terms of shape and brilliance of colours, this beautifully sized vase is in excellent condition and is signed “Barovier e Toso Murano” with a diamond point.
