Vase in the shape of a flattened gourd, in thick clear glass decorated inside with large triangles of blue, red and straw colors.
The model designed in 1950 was exhibited at the 25th Venice Biennale.
A rare model by the technique used and the unusual shape. It is, however, characteristic of the work of Fulvio Bianconi.
The model is reproduced in the archives of Venini under the reference 4316.
It is published among others in the catalog of the retrospective Fulvio Bianconi organized by “Le Stanze del Vetro”, page 178 (Editions Skira).
During the retrospective of Fulvio Bianconi’s work, this vase was “classified” in the “Pezzati” series, collectors also often call it “a spicchi” or “a pezzame”.
