“Fish” by Tyra Lundgren, Murano Glass sculpture.
Transparent glass fish, decorated with fine successive lines of blue, green, and pale red. The fins and eyes, applied in clear glass, give the piece a delicate presence, while the whole displays a subtle iridescence.
Typical of Tyra Lundgren’s creations for Venini in the 1930s–1940s, this model combines Scandinavian refinement with Venetian virtuosity: clean lines, perfect balance, and a keen sense of detail. Both decorative and highly artistic, it stands as one of the earliest major female collaborations within Venini and remains highly sought after today for its rarity and historical significance.”
