Alioth is a luminaire from the “Galassia” series designed by Alessandro Mendini and presented by Venini at the Euroluce fair in Milan.
The base is in matt black metal, the very thin central shaft is lacquered in shiny red, the accessories supporting the glass elements are chrome plated.
The whole « head », of perfect construction, is completely removable. The rear is different from the front and projects a reflection of shades of blue on the wall.
In a limited edition of 50 pieces.
It is signed with a diamond point on the yellow element « Venini 93 A. Mendini Alioth 17/50 »
Under the base is fixed an identification plate on which is written:
