Dish by Alexandre Kostanda, glazed ceramic stoneware decorated with a stylized bird.
Very large ceramic dish decorated with a bird and flowers.
The body of the bird incised, decorated in tones of beige, amber, brown, gray and blue.
A decoration of foliage and flowers on the left.
Most likely a master’s work produced for an exhibition.
Alexandre Kostanda is known for having favored a production with muted tones, close to the natural hues of clay in opposition to the shimmering colors used by the artists of Vallauris at that time.
An object surprising in its finesse and exceptional mastery of craftsmanship.
