Bottle with stopper by Flavio Poli

Artist
Flavio Poli

Bottle with stopper by Flavio Poli (1900–1984) for Seguso Vetri d’Arte
Murano, Italy.
Designed in 1962 and referenced in the Seguso Vetri d’Arte archives under model no. 13239, this bottle is distinguished by its generously curved body, elongated cylindrical neck and original spherical stopper, exemplifying Flavio Poli’s celebrated mastery of the sommerso technique.

Executed in the Rubino – Blu – Violetto colour variant, the ruby-red body is deeply submerged within a luminous violet glass mass enriched by a subtle cobalt-blue layer, creating remarkable depth and refined optical effects that have become synonymous with Poli’s work.

Combining harmonious proportions with the purity of its sculptural silhouette, this model perfectly embodies the sophisticated chromatic research developed by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d’Arte during the early 1960s.
