Low Cabinet by Françoise Sée, France, 1969.
Low cabinet clad in stainless steel, featuring a geometric relief pattern composed of triangular panels.
The two side sections open with hinged doors, revealing storage compartments with shelves lined in brushed gold Formica. The central section opens from the top, revealing a compartment with an interior also finished in brushed gold Formica. Its configuration also allows this compartment to be used as a bar.
This particular version, of which no other identical example is currently known, may have been a unique piece.
The contrast between the sculptural stainless-steel exterior and the golden interior surfaces emphasizes the architectural character of the piece.
