Blown glass table lamp resting on a chrome-plated steel base by Toni Zuccheri, VeArt – Murano, Italy, circa 1970.
The lamp is composed of a thick glass diffuser, widely flared and slightly flattened in form, resting on a cylindrical opaline glass base held within a chrome-plated metal structure.
The motif, seemingly unfolding from the core of the piece, evokes a molten substance frozen in glass, giving the lamp both an experimental and poetic dimension. When lit, the light reveals the full depth of the decoration, enhancing the contrast between opacity and translucency.
